Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan was visited by 28,200 Italian citizens in January-August 2026, with most arriving for tourism purposes.

According to Uzbekistan’s National Statistics Committee, 26,900 Italian citizens travelled to the country for tourism during the first eight months of 2026.

Another 668 Italians visited Uzbekistan on business trips, while 543 came to visit relatives.

A total of 70 Italian citizens arrived in the country for study purposes, while three visited Uzbekistan for commercial purposes.

Tourism trips therefore accounted for the largest share of visits by Italian citizens to Uzbekistan during the period under review.
