Plaza Hotelgroup GmbH invests US$100 million in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Plaza Hotelgroup GmbH (Germany) plans to invest in Uzbekistan to create a hotel chain.

The German company intends to create a chain of hotels under the Best Western brand. Now the company operates in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. 

Issues related to creation of the hotel network were discussed during the meeting of the acting mayor of Tashkent, Jahangir Artykhadjayev, with the management of the company Plaza Hotelgroup GmbH.

During the meeting, it was noted that the company intends to invest US$100 million to build hotels in major cities of Uzbekistan. For 3-5 years, the company will build from 6 to 8 hotels.
