Over 50 Uzbek athletes to participate at Universiade-2013

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- About 55 athletes from Uzbekistan will participate at the 27th World Summer Universiade, which will be held in Kazan, Russia, on 6-17 July 2013.

Athletes from Uzbekistan will defend honour of Uzbekistan in such sports as boxing, belbog’li kurash, rhythmic gymnastics, canoe and rowing, judo, sambo, weightlifting and athletics, as well as freestyle and Greek-roman wrestling.

Over 10,500 athletes from 162 countries of the world will compete for 351 sets of medals on 27 types of sports.
