Over 127,000 people registered in Uzbekistan with diabetes
Government’s Pravda Vostoka newspaper reported that number of unrevealed patients with diabetes remains very high.
Currently, Uzbekistan created all conditions for assisting people with diabetes. There are National Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology, 14 endocrinology health centres, and 496 specialized rooms, of which 189 were created for children.
In 2000, Uzbekistan created a registrar of children and teenagers with diabetes of the first type. Today, children with diabetes of the first type are provided with necessary medicaments and they are under regular monitoring.
The diabetes of the second type is the result of unhealthy lifestyle and specialists are promoting sport and healthy nutrition among population, especially youth.
