Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — From 3 to 4 February 2024, Uzbekistan conducted the initial phase of large-scale operations "Koradori," organized by the National Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.
The operation aimed to disrupt the activities of criminal groups and individuals involved in the illegal trafficking of narcotics and potent substances.
During the operation, 653 special operations were carried out. As a result, 112 kg 257 g of narcotics were seized, including heroin, opium, hashish, and synthetic drugs, as well as 8,601 units of potent drugs intended for distribution among the population.
A total of US$287,460 and 569 million soums were seized from illegal circulation, which were documented as material evidence.
As a result of the investigation of 222 criminal cases, 228 individuals were held accountable, with 64 facing administrative penalties. Forty-seven individuals on the wanted list were apprehended, and 357 people were given preventive talks, with 231 individuals officially warned.
Additionally, 175 knives, 58 bats, 24 brass knuckles, and 77 firearms were seized during the operation.
Operational measures to stabilize the criminal situation will continue in other areas.
