Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Since the beginning of 2025, fines totaling more than 1 billion soums have been imposed in Tashkent for illegal waste disposal in unauthorized locations.
According to city services, maintaining cleanliness in the capital is the responsibility of every resident. However, some citizens repeatedly violate the rules by dumping waste in prohibited areas.
First-time offenders receive a warning, while repeat violations result in fines in accordance with Article 161 of the Code of Administrative Liability.
This year, 2,075 repeat cases of improper waste disposal have been recorded, leading to administrative measures and fines totaling 1.05 billion soums.
