Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A team from Uzbekistan’s Defence Ministry won first place at the III International Sniper Competition, held in South Korea from 3 to 10 September.
The competition brought together 28 teams from eight countries. Participants performed tactical exercises during both daytime and nighttime in various environments, including urban, mountainous and forest terrain.
A distinctive feature of the competition was the extensive use of moving and aerial targets, which accounted for 40% of all targets.
Uzbekistan’s team scored 678.4 points to take first place. Vietnam finished second with 666.6 points, while Türkiye came third with 471.1 points.
The victory marked Uzbekistan’s third consecutive win at the competition.
In 2024, Uzbekistan finished second, before winning the competition in 2025 and 2026.
