Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Renowned opera singer Yanika Bagryanskaya, soloist of the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theater, has passed away in a clinic in Türkiye after a long illness, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul reported.
A graduate of the Tashkent State Conservatory, Bagryanskaya was one of the leading mezzo-sopranos of the national opera theater for more than two decades.
She was a laureate of the 2nd prize at the International Romance Competition Romansiada, actively participated in international festivals, and earned wide recognition from audiences and colleagues for her professionalism, stage talent, and deep devotion to art.
The Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Istanbul expressed its heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of the singer. Together with the Agency for External Labor Migration, the family has been provided with necessary consular support.
