OIC observers’ missions start their work in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) sent a mission of observers to Uzbekistan. The mission includes representatives of Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sudan, Palestine and other states.

The mission is led by director of Department on political issues of the OIC Ali Abolhassani, who has been heading the department since 2006. He observed elections in Kazakhstan, Bangladesh, Russia and others.

The OIC started to observer elections in member states in 2006. The organization so far observed elections in Azerbaijan, Algeria, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Nigeria and other states.
