New Uzbek Deputy FM was appointed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Russia and Belarus Bakhtiyor Islamov was appointed as Deputy Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

According to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr Islamov was appointed to his new post on 11 December 2008.

Ilhom Nematov will replace Bakhtiyor Islamov at the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Russia and Belarus. Prior to appointment, Mr Nematov served as First Deputy Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
