New rector of National University appointed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- New rector of National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek has been appointed.

According to the website of the university, Avazjon Marahimov was appointed as the rector of National University of Uzbekistan.

Prior to appointment, he worked as professor of Information Technologies Chair at Tashkent State Technical University.

At this post, Marahimov replaced Abdurakhim Abdushukurov, who was appointed to the post in May 2016.
