Mirziyoyev, Sheikh Mansour Discuss UAE Partnership

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with United Arab Emirates Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss the further development of the strategic partnership between the two countries and the implementation of joint projects.

At the beginning of the conversation, Sheikh Mansour congratulated Mirziyoyev on his birthday, wishing him good health, family well-being and continued success in his public duties.

The two sides expressed satisfaction with the successful implementation of agreements reached during Mirziyoyev's visit to the United Arab Emirates in January last year.

During the conversation, they noted that bilateral trade has continued to grow at a strong pace since the beginning of this year. The combined portfolio of joint projects has exceeded US$20 billion, while the number of joint ventures has surpassed 400.

The two sides also discussed the development of transport links. They noted that Etihad Airways will begin operating daily flights on the Abu Dhabi–Tashkent route from August.

Mirziyoyev and Sheikh Mansour stressed the importance of maintaining close political dialogue, accelerating the implementation of major joint projects and exchanged views on regional issues.
