New Deputy Mayor for Housing Appointed in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Obidjon Muminov has been appointed Deputy Hokim of Tashkent and simultaneously head of the city’s housing and communal services department.

Muminov was born in 1987 in the Navoi region. In 2013, he graduated from the Navoi State Pedagogical Institute.

He later continued his studies and in 2024 obtained a master’s degree from the Higher School of Public Administration of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

Prior to his appointment, he served as head of a department responsible for coordinating the management and operation of multi-apartment housing stock, as well as consolidating renovation projects at the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The appointment reflects ongoing personnel changes in the capital’s administration and is aimed at further improving the city’s housing and utilities management system.
