Mirziyoyev Attends F1H2O Grand Prix Opening in Kyrgyzstan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the opening ceremony of the Kyrgyzstan Powerboat Grand Prix, held at Lake Issyk-Kul as part of the program for the informal Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
The presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan also attended the ceremonial event. The leaders of the states welcomed the participants and guests of the competition.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by his spouse, watched the qualification heat of the athletes.
The Grand Prix of Kyrgyzstan is the second stage of the F1H2O World Championship, known as "Formula 1 on Water," which is held under the auspices of the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM). Professional teams and athletes from various countries participate in the competition annually.
This stage of the F1H2O World Championship is being held in Central Asia for the first time. The competition program includes practice sessions, qualifying heats, and the main race on high-speed boats capable of reaching speeds exceeding 220 km/h.
