Labor Inspection Probes Social Worker Death in Uchkuprik

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The State Labor Inspection has launched an investigation into the death of an Inson social services center employee in the Uchkuprik district, according to an official statement by the agency.

The inspection service reported that the tragic incident, information about which is circulating on social networks, has been placed under special control. The investigation is being conducted in accordance with the procedures established by law.

During the probe, the causes and circumstances of the accident, as well as factors that could have led to the tragedy, will be comprehensively examined. In addition, the actions of officials responsible for organizing the work will undergo review.

Special attention will be paid to establishing possible instances of involving the deceased employee in forced labor. If such violations are identified, a legal assessment will be given to the actions of the involved officials in accordance with legislative requirements.

The State Labor Inspection stated that following the completion of the investigation, it will provide additional official information regarding the results.
