Namangan Region Expands Cooperation With Belarus

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from the Namangan region led by Khokim Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov held talks with representatives of Belarusian ministries, departments, and major industrial associations during a visit to Belarus.

Cooperation in the light industry sector was one of the key areas of the negotiations.

At a meeting with representatives of the Bellegprom concern, the parties discussed the implementation of joint investment projects, the attraction of modern technologies, and the expansion of light industry exports from the Namangan region to the Belarusian market, the press service of the Namangan region khokimiyat reported.

Bellegprom unites enterprises from the textile, garment, knitwear, leather, and footwear industries. The concern includes more than 60 organizations engaged in the production and sale of light industry products.

Separate talks were held with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus and the Belpischeprom concern. Primary attention was focused on establishing and further developing bilateral cooperation.

The visit of the Namangan region delegation to Belarus is ongoing.
