More than 3.6 million tonnes of cotton gathered in Uzbekistan

Farmers of Uzbekistan gathered more than 3.6 million tonnes of cotton. This year, the cotton was cultivated on 1.44 million hectares of lands.

For the first time, 100% of the total harvest was grown by farms, UzA reported.

The average yield made up 26 centners per hectare, and 86% of the total harvest was first grade against 74% last year.

According to Farms Association of Uzbekistan, some farms achieved harvest of 45-50 centners per hectare.

The farmers of Uzbekistan continue harvesting the remaining cotton.
