Moderate earthquake hits Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An earthquake with epicenter in Hindu Kush region (Afghanistan) was registered in Tashkent city at 16:59 on Monday, 7 November 2011.

The earthquake magnitude in capital city of Uzbekistan was 2 points, Tashkent Seismic Station said.

The magnitude of earthquake at the epicenter, which is located 500 kilometers from Tashkent to the South-Eastern direction at Afghanistan territory, was 5.5 points.
