Man Detained in Andijan for Operations on Unregistered Crypto Exchange

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — In Andijan region, a man has been detained for conducting transactions with crypto assets through an unregistered exchange, totaling 68.2 billion soums.

According to the Cybersecurity Center under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the 30-year-old resident of Shakhrikhan district was engaged in buying, selling, and exchanging crypto assets.

A criminal case has been opened under Part 3, Article 278-8 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (“Violation of legislation on circulation of crypto assets”).

Investigative actions are ongoing.
