Man arrested with fake 5,000-soums bills in Zarafshan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Officers of Department of Interior Affairs of Navoi region arrested a man, who tried to pay for purchased goods with fake bills.

According to the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan, 41-year old citizen of Zarafshan was arrested in the result of conducted operative measures.

The ministry said that the man used eight 5,000-soums bills to pay for goods, purchased in one of trade shops in Zarafshan, the authenticity of which raised doubts among law enforcement officers.

During the expertise, it was revealed that the bills are fake. The criminal case was opened, and investigation is underway.
