Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A magnitude 4.8 earthquake was recorded in Kyrgyzstan on May 29 at 13:15 local time, according to the Republican Center for Seismic Forecasting Monitoring.
The earthquake had a depth of 10 km. Its epicenter was located in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic at coordinates 41.6° north latitude and 73.84° east longitude. The distance from the epicenter to Tashkent is approximately 387 km in a northeast direction.
Tremors were felt in parts of Uzbekistan. In particular, shaking of up to 2 points on the seismic intensity scale was recorded in the Hanabad, Kurghan Tepe, Pakhtaabad, and Jalakuduk districts, located between 114 and 140 km from the epicenter.
