Locomotive and Tank Cars Derail in Tashkent Region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A shunting diesel locomotive and four tank cars derailed on 28 July 2026 on an approach railway track belonging to AGMK near the Ohangaron station in the Tashkent region, according to JSC Uzbekiston Temir Yullari.

The railway company emphasized that the track is not part of the infrastructure of JSC Uzbekiston Temir Yullari and is located on territory belonging to AGMK.

Following recommendations from railway specialists, the railcars were restored to the tracks on the same day.

No injuries were reported, and no environmental damage occurred as a result of the incident.
