Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Shokhrukh Gulamov held a series of meetings in Abu Dhabi with executives of leading companies and financial institutions from the United Arab Emirates as part of the business programme of the Investopia Bridge 2026 forum.

Discussions with representatives of TAQA Water Solutions focused on a project to build and operate water treatment plants in New Tashkent. Following the talks, the parties extended the agreement on joint project development.

At a meeting with First Abu Dhabi Bank, the main focus was on financing opportunities for gas transportation infrastructure projects. The parties also discussed support for the banking sector and the use of Islamic and export financing instruments.

Talks with AD Ports Group covered the digitalisation of logistics, the establishment of a trade and logistics hub, and the company’s potential participation in developing the Trans-Afghan Transport Corridor.

Real estate development projects in Uzbekistan were discussed separately with Modon. The parties established a joint working group to examine the proposals in greater detail.

Following the meetings, the parties identified further steps to prepare investment proposals, agree on financial and technical parameters, and advance joint projects towards practical implementation.
