Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Large enterprises in Uzbekistan produced 24.2 trillion soums worth of clothing in January-August 2026, with the largest production volume recorded in Andijan region at 8.7 trillion soums.

According to Uzbekistan’s National Statistics Committee, Tashkent region ranked second, with clothing production reaching 2.9 trillion soums. Namangan region produced 2.4 trillion soums worth of clothing.

In Tashkent city, clothing production amounted to 2.2 trillion soums. It was followed by Ferghana region with 1.7 trillion soums, Samarkand region with 1.2 trillion soums and Kashkadarya region with 1.3 trillion soums.

Production volumes in other regions were as follows: Bukhara region — 831.3 billion soums, Khorezm region — 772.6 billion soums, Navoi region — 720.2 billion soums and Syrdarya region — 414.1 billion soums.

In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, large enterprises produced 389.8 billion soums worth of clothing. The figure stood at 258.4 billion soums in Surkhandarya region and 244.8 billion soums in Jizzakh region.

Andijan region therefore stood out among the country’s regions in terms of clothing production, significantly exceeding other areas in this indicator.
