Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan produced 24.2 billion cubic metres of natural gas in January-August 2026, down 16.3% from 28.9 billion cubic metres in the same period of 2025, according to the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
Natural gas production amounted to 30.1 billion cubic metres in January-August 2024.
Gas condensate production declined by 14.8%, from 760,500 tonnes in January-August 2025 to 648,300 tonnes in 2026. In the same period of 2024, production stood at 829,400 tonnes.
Oil production amounted to 425,000 tonnes, down 2.2% from 434,500 tonnes a year earlier. In January-August 2024, Uzbekistan produced 485,100 tonnes of oil.
Motor gasoline production increased by 4.6%, from 775,700 tonnes in January-August 2025 to 811,300 tonnes in 2026. The figure stood at 898,300 tonnes during the same period of 2024.
Diesel fuel production rose by 6.1%, from 786,600 tonnes to 834,300 tonnes. In January-August 2024, production amounted to 711,300 tonnes.
Coal production fell by 10.2%, from 4.9 million tonnes in January-August 2025 to 4.4 million tonnes in 2026. The same 4.4 million tonnes were produced during the corresponding period of 2024.
