Kyrgyzstan pays out US$3.5m of its gas debt to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Kyrgyzstan has paid out US $3.5 million of its gas debt to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzgas company informed the news agency 24.kg on Monday. Other US $2 million will be reportedly transferred to Uzbekistan this week.

Salamat Aitikeev, the Director General of Kyrgyzgas will leave for Tashkent on 13 October to resume talks over gas supply to Kyrgyzstan in 2010. Exclusively of the repaid sum, Kyrgyzstan’s gas debt amounts to US $15.5 million.
