KHNP to increase purchase of uranium from Uzbekistan

South Korean company Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) is planning to increase purchase of uranium from Uzbekistan from 300 tonnes to 500 tonnes from 2015.
According to RIA Novosti, the sides prepared a draft agreement on supply of uranium in agreed volumes. The firm contract can be signed in August-September 2014.
Earlier it was reported that Navoi Mining and Metallurgy Combine, an only producer of uranium in Uzbekistan, and KHNP signed a basic agreement on export of Uzbek natural uranium at the volume of up to 5,000 tonnes in 2015-2024.
