Karakalpakstan’s GRP grows by 8.2% in 2009

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Gross regional product of Karakalpakstan grew by 8.2% in 2009, UzA reported. Industrial output rose by 3% and agriculture production up 7.2%.

The growth of paid services made up 13.6% in the reporting period.

Five localization projects were implemented at Karakalpakstan, which allowed to increase goods output by 10.6%.

Karakalpakstan exports reached 9 billion soums.
