Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Israel carried out a missile attack on Iranian territory, the media reported.
In response, Iranian air defense forces shot down several drones over the city of Isfahan, local television reported.
The media also reported explosions near Isfahan airport and at the 8th Air Force Base, where air defense systems were activated.
According to the Fars news agency, three explosions occurred in Isfahan, presumably in response to the appearance of drones. The drones were likely targeting an army radar station. Explosions in the surrounding area damaged glass in several office buildings.
Tasnim claims that nuclear facilities in Isfahan have not been damaged and are safe.
State news agency IRNA said attacks were also reflected in other provinces, including explosions heard in western Tabriz and in the Wadi-e Rahmat region.
As a result of the incident, flights over Tehran, Isfahan and Shiraz were canceled.
