From 2021, car owners will be able to buy electronic insurance policies

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A government resolution “On additional measures to improve the procedure for the provision of electronic insurance services” was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution, electronic insurance services (E-policy) are carried out in the structure of a single information system.

Until 1 July 2021, information modules for the sale and registration of e-policies will be introduced in the structure of the unified information system.

The resolution approved the rules for the sale, registration and verification of the authenticity of E-policies for compulsory civil liability insurance of vehicle owners.

According to them, the sale, registration of e-policies is carried out between the insurer and the insurance organization through electronic exchange of information.

From 1 March 2021, the Ministry of Finance, together with insurance organizations, will carry out the sale, registration of e-policies for compulsory civil liability insurance of vehicle owners. E-policy is equivalent to a paper contract (policy).
