From 1 March, some coins and banknotes are withdrawn from circulation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) - Old-style coins and banknotes with a face value of 25 soums or less will be retired from 1 March 2020 in accordance with the Regulation “On the withdrawal of old coins and banknotes of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a nominal value of 25 soums or less” (registration number 3183 dated September 18, 2019).

Starting from 1 March, old coins and banknotes, which have ceased to be legal tender, will be exchanged for coins and banknotes in circulation, only by the Central Territorial Departments of the Central Bank.
