Flag of Uzbekistan raised in New York’s Wall Street

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- A flag of Uzbekistan has been raised in Wall Street of New York in connection with the 24th anniversary of Uzbekistan. The flag will wave in historic, cultural and financial center of New York from 1 to 7 September.

The event was organized by Permanent mission of Uzbekistan at United Nations, General Consulate in New York, American-Turkistan Association, Jahon news agency reported.

Representatives of public and political circles, mass media, representatives of Uzbekistan, Uzbek diaspora in New York, tourists and others attended the opening ceremony.

Anthems of two nations were played. Uzbek music and dances were presented at the ceremony.
