First group of pilgrims returns to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A first group of pilgrims, who performed their Umrah pilgrimage, returned to Uzbekistan on 24 February 2014. The group consisted of 175 people, the information service of the Committee on religious affairs said in a statement.
Uzbekistan Havo Yollari will carry out works on meeting the Uzbek pilgrims from 24 February to 5 May 2014, the committee added.
Currently, about 774 pilgrims from Uzbekistan are visiting sacred place in Mecca and Medina. The committee said that 175 of them are in Medina and 599 in Mecca.
The committee stated that all pilgrims are healthy. The Umrah-2014 season continues, it added.
