Fire at Pakhta oil depot eliminated

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A fire occurred at the Pakhta oil depot located in Tashkent region during repair work at about 11:30 a.m., which has been eliminated. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

Energy Minister Alisher Sultanov promptly arrived at the scene of the incident to directly assess the scale of the incident and the measures taken to eliminate it.

At the moment, the fire has been eliminated, there are no casualties in the incident.

According to preliminary data, vapors of gasoline residues accumulated in one of the tanks became the cause of the fire. When the hatch of the tank was opened, the release of vapors gave a spark that caused a fire.
