Ferghana region’s GRP increases by 6.3% in 2012

Gross regional product (GRP) of Ferghana region increased by 6.3% in 2012, the session of local council said.
UzA reported that agriculture output of the region grew by 6.2% in 2012, construction works – 8.4%, retail trade turnover – 14.2% and used capital investments – 11.3%.
Last year, some 90 projects were implemented to develop industry and some 122 billion soums and US$82 million investments were directed to them.
Some 700 new houses at 28 blocks were constructed in Ferghana region in 2012. The region created 92,438 new jobs in 2012.
