Ferghana region plans to create 100 new local brands

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Ferghana region has set a target of creating 100 new local brands under the “100 New Brands of Ferghana” project. A seminar and training session on brand development, legal protection and promotion in domestic and international markets was held in Ferghana, Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Justice said.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Justice, the Ferghana regional administration and the Ferghana regional office of Uzbekistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Justice Minister Muzraf Ikramov, Deputy Regional Governor Khurshid Akhmedov, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, entrepreneurs, government officials, experts and media representatives.

The main objective of the seminar was to provide practical support to entrepreneurs in Ferghana region in developing their own brands, ensuring their legal protection and promoting products in domestic and foreign markets.

Participants received recommendations on developing corporate identity and design, registering trademarks in Uzbekistan and abroad, as well as promoting newly created brands.

As part of the event, the Ministry of Justice also presented the Ferghana regional administration with certificates registering Kokand patyr and halva as geographical indications.
