Drivers Warned of Possible Delays at the Uzbekistan–Kyrgyzstan Border

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Truck drivers traveling to the Kyrgyz Republic are being warned of possible queues at border checkpoints between 2 and 4 August 2025.

According to the Customs Committee of Uzbekistan, new information systems are being introduced at Kyrgyz customs checkpoints as part of efforts to digitalize customs operations. These systems are designed to speed up control procedures and streamline the processing of transit cargo.

While the measures are expected to significantly simplify border crossings and reduce the time drivers spend on documentation, short-term delays may occur due to ongoing software and technical maintenance work.
