Domestic producers of electricity meters exempted from VAT

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- In accordance with the resolution of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, domestic producers of electricity metering devices are exempted from a number of payments until 1 January 2022.

Until 1 January 2022, they are exempt from paying value added tax when selling electricity meters and related equipment, the press service of Uzbekenergo said in a statement.

Also, local producers were exempted from paying customs duties for the import of components, raw materials and materials used for the production of electricity metering devices.

In addition, domestic producers were exempted from paying customs duties for the import of components, raw materials and materials used for the production of electricity metering devices and related equipment supplied under contracts concluded with Uzbekenergo.
