Uzbek President to Pay State Visit to Kyrgyzstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to the Kyrgyz Republic from 30 July to 1 August at the invitation of President Sadyr Japarov.

During the high-level talks, the two leaders will discuss further strengthening Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of friendship, good-neighborliness, and strategic partnership. The agenda also includes increasing bilateral trade, expanding industrial cooperation, developing transport connectivity, and enhancing cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

The presidents will also exchange views on current international and regional issues.

The summit is expected to conclude with the signing of a package of bilateral documents aimed at further developing multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The visit program also includes President Mirziyoyev's participation in an informal Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, as well as other scheduled events.
