Uzbekistan, Indorama Discuss Mining Sector Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — First Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of Uzbekistan Feruza Khamidova met with a delegation from Singapore's Indorama Corporation Pte. Ltd. to discuss prospects for expanding cooperation in the mining sector.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in the extraction and processing of mineral resources, as well as issues related to securing raw material supplies for mineral fertilizer production.

Khamidova reaffirmed the ministry's readiness to develop mutually beneficial cooperation and informed the company's representatives about opportunities to participate in auctions for the rights to develop prospective subsoil plots.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties exchanged views on future areas of cooperation in Uzbekistan's mining sector.
