Denis Istomin reaches semifinals in Bordeaux tournament

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan successfully performed in BNP Paribas Primrose Bordeaux of the ATP Challenger, which is taking place in Bordeaux, France.

In the first round, Denis Istomin eliminated Julio Silve of Brazil in straight sets 6/2 and 6/1 and in the second round hr defeated David Guez of France 6/4, 3/6 and 6/3.

In the quarterfinals, Istomin faced another French player Edouard Roger-Vasselin and outplayed him with the score – 6/3 and 7/6 (6).

In semifinals, the Uzbekistan No.1 tennis player faced top-seeded Michael Llodra. Istomin lost to Llodra in straight sets 7/6(3) and 6/3.

In the result, Denis Istomin earned 40 ATP points and 4,260 euros.
