Denis Istomin beats Nicolas Mahut in Miami

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin advanced to the second round of Sony Open Tennis in Miami (USA), beating Nicolas Mahut of France.

Denis Istomin outplayed Nicolas Mahut in straight sets 7-6(8) and 7-6(2) in the first round of the tournament. The match lasted an hour and 56 minutes.

Denis Istomin served nine aces and recorded one double fault. Mahut registered three aces and two double faults. Each player had one break point.

Uzbek tennis ace will face Dmitry Tursunov in the second round.
