Delegation of Uzbekistan hold talks with Japanese officials

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Uzbekistan held meetings and negotiations with officials of Japan on 19-20 March 2014, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

The delegation of Uzbekistan participated in the work of the eighth meeting of senior officials of the Dialogue “Central Asia + Japan”, which was held in Tokyo.

The delegation held talks with State Minister of Economic Revitalization of Japan Akira Amari, Secretary-General of Parliament League of Friendship “Liberal-Democratic Party of Japan – Uzbekistan”, vice-minister of Economic Revitalization of Japan Yasutoshi Nishimura, Member of the House of Councilors Kyoko Nakayama, Special representative on Central Asian Affairs and deputy director-general of Bureau for Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Norio Maruyama.

The sides exchanged opinion on issues of bilateral relations, schedule and agenda of the Uzbek-Japanese contacts at various levels in 2014 and other issues of mutual interest.
