Day of Azerbaijan held in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Azerbaijan will mark its 20th anniversary of Independence Day on 18 October 2011. A Day of Azerbaijan was held at the Center for National Art in Tashkent on 16 September 2011.

Embassy of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan and Fund Forum organized at the event. The programme included art and topical exhibitions, as well as concerts dedicated to rich traditions of Azeri culture.

Representatives of diplomatic missions, international and public organizations, and others participated at the event.

The event presented images, print products and exhibits, reflecting modern development of Azerbaijan. Day of Azerbaijan also included concert of traditional, classical and pop music of Azerbaijan and exhibition of traditional and modern culture of Azerbaijan, including carpets, musical instruments and paintings of Azerbaijan’s Sattar Bahlulzade.
