Commerce Secretary of Bangladesh visits Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
On 7 May 2012 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the Commerce Secretary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Md. Ghulam Hussain, who is taking part in the first meeting of Bangladesh-Uzbekistan Joint Intergovernmental Working Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation.
During the conversation a mutual interest in enhancing trade and economic relations, in utilizing the available potential to the fullest was affirmed. In the first quarter of 2012 mutual trade volume exceeded US$56 million, while total amount for 2011 was US$69.3 million.
The parties exchanged opinions on perspectives of rendering new dynamics to Uzbek-Bangladeshi dialogue on all spheres of interaction, the MFA of Uzbekistan said.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Muhammad Imran took part in the meeting.
