Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan had 20,973 operating enterprises with foreign investment as of 1 August 2026, with China accounting for the largest number at 6,241 enterprises, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Of the total number of foreign-invested enterprises, 4,685 were joint ventures and 16,288 were enterprises with foreign participation.

The number of operating foreign-invested enterprises in Uzbekistan has increased 1.7 times over the past five years.

Russia ranked second with 3,512 such enterprises, followed by Türkiye with 2,327 and Kazakhstan with 1,321.

The top 10 also included the Republic of Korea with 730 enterprises, Afghanistan with 706, Azerbaijan with 492, Tajikistan with 467, the United Arab Emirates with 453 and India with 439 enterprises.

China therefore accounted for about 29.8% of all operating foreign-invested enterprises in Uzbekistan.
