Uzbekistan and India Expand Medical Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Director of the Agency for Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry Abdulla Azizov held a meeting with representatives of the Indian multi-specialty medical institution Lilavati Hospital & Research Centre to discuss prospects for expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and India in the medical field.

During the meeting, the parties considered the introduction of modern medical technologies, enhancing the professional capacity of specialists, and implementing joint projects.

Special attention was paid to the exchange of experience and knowledge, the application of advanced medical technologies and innovative approaches, as well as the development of interaction in scientific research and education.

The Indian side was presented with information on ongoing reforms in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors in Uzbekistan, investment opportunities, and the modern medical and scientific infrastructure being created within the "BioPharma City" pharmaceutical cluster.
