Bektemir Melikuziev clinches a technical victory over Pierre Dibombe

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Professional boxer Bektemir Melikuziev won a technical victory in his last fight against French opponent Pierre Dibombe.

The fight took place between the boxers at a boxing evening in Brooklyn on 20 April.

In the middle of the fight there was an accidental clash of heads, as a result of which the Uzbek boxer suffered a cut.

In the eighth round, due to the severity of Melikuziev’s injury, the fight was stopped by decision of the judges.

However, thanks to the previous rounds, he scored a technical victory over his opponent, defending his WBA Inter-Continental middleweight belt.

For Dibomba, this was his first defeat in the professional ring.
