Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- On 8-9 June, in London, under the slogan "Uniting", events "Days of Uzbekistan Culture and Festival of National Cuisine" are being held by the Committee for Tourism, together with the public foundation "Vatandoshlar", the team of the Union of Chefs, and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United Kingdom.
As part of the events, a football tournament involving Uzbekistanis living in the UK took place on the sports grounds of Brunel University in London.
In the competition, more than 100 participants, divided into 16 teams of 7 people each, competed with the organizers and volunteers.
In this friendly tournament, the team "Andijon" took the 1st place, the players of "Legends" took the 2nd place, and the team "WAYU" took the 3rd place.
At the end, all participants of the competition were awarded memorable gifts and treated to the national brand of Uzbek cuisine - pilaf.
