Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan captain Eldor Shomurodov scored twice for Istanbul Basaksehir in the Turkish championship.
In the fifth round, Basaksehir thrashed Genclerbirligi 4-0 at home.
Skev Olsen opened the scoring in the 9th minute. Eldor Shomurodov scored his team's second goal in the 33rd minute, receiving the ball in the centre of the penalty area, turning and striking the opponent's goal.
In the 53rd minute, Selke scored from the penalty spot to increase Basaksehir's lead.
Eldor Shomurodov scored his second goal in the 65th minute. He received a pass from Skev Olsen, got past the defenders and shot accurately into the goal.
Uzbekistan midfielder Abbosbek Fayzullaev came on in the 76th minute of the match.
